MyRF is Greeeen!
We don’t have a PLANET B.
Therefore we chose Radio Fashion to be ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY. We chose CONTINENTAL CLOTHING CO. to be a part of our RADIO FASHION.
Why? Read what the founders of CONTINENTAL, Phil&Paul, have to say about their clothes and you will understand why we like them!
“When we started focusing on what was going on outside our business, instead of looking inward, we began to open our eyes, and see things as they really are. When we started learning about organic agriculture, environmental destruction and climate change, we began to take down our own barriers, and there is no going back. Now we understand that we have been given a unique and very special opportunity to lead by example and show an entire industry, (the promotional garment industry) an industry currently in denial, how to protect the planet while growing their businesses in a sustainable manner and still making a profit. It’s a remarkable position to be in.”
This is what Continental Clothing Co. stands for and we are behind them 104%.
LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT
We strive to have all of the collection EARTH POSITIVE – with the minimum CO2 footprint. In January 2008, Continental Clothing Co. became the first brand in the world to calculate the carbon footprint and place the Carbon Reduction Label on textile products.
ORGANIC STANDARD
Continental Clothing Company is actively supporting the growth and expansion of organic cotton farming. Why choose organic cotton? Cotton, the most valuable non-food agricultural product, is labelled as the world’s “dirtiest” crop. Vomiting, paralysis, incontinence, coma, seizures and death are some of the many side effects suffered by farmers and children in the developing world who are routinely exposed to pesticides, many of which are banned or restricted in use in the West.
Steve Trent, Director of Environmental Justice Foundation, says “With no less than 99% of the world’s cotton farmers living in the developing world, the pesticides are applied in fields where illiteracy is high and safety awareness is low, putting both the environment and lives at risk”. He adds “The dangers faced by poor illiterate children and farmers, to keep our clothes cheap, is unacceptable”. Read about ORGANIC COTTON HERE!
